What is a good way to dispose of compost?
I recently moved into a house and have been introduced to the entire green bin/ blue bin concept.
Just wondering, how should you dispose of compost. Should you take it straight to the bin so it doesn’t stink up the house or should you get a special container or something.
Elaboration and suggestions will be greatly appreciated.
When you add stuff to the compost, you should push aside some of the bedding inside your bin and put your waste in. Cover your waste with a small layer of the bedding and compost already inside the bin. This will help to reduce any odors from your waste.
To remove your compost, you can either separate your worms from the compost by hand, or push the “old compost/bedding” to one side of your bin and add new bedding. Within a few days the worms will move over to the “new side” on their own.
